Does SpendLens connect to my bank? +
No. There is no bank login and no scraping. You import the statement files (PDF) you already have, and everything is parsed and stored locally on your Mac. Nothing is uploaded.
Where is my data stored? +
In a local SQLite database on your Mac (you can see the exact path in Settings). You can export it or delete everything at any time. There is no cloud and no account.
Which banks are supported? +
SpendLens ships with first-class support for Wio Bank (Personal and Business) statements, with a generic PDF import path for others. More bank profiles are added over time.
One-time price or subscription? +
One-time. You buy SpendLens once for $29.99 and own it — no subscription, ever. Compare that to cloud finance apps at $95–$109 per year.
Is it safe to install? +
Yes — notarized by Apple (Developer ID) and a direct download, no App Store lock-in. Built-in auto-updates keep it current.
Is this tax or financial advice? +
No. SpendLens is analytics and record-keeping software. The accountant export prepares supporting records; you or your accountant file official returns. It is not a financial, tax, or legal adviser.
